Community Missions Follow-Up

Community missions lead to the discovery of unchurched residents of the community, as well as seeing people make professions of faith. Following the conclusion of your community missions endeavor, the work of follow-up begins. The goal is to have personal contacts with each unchurched person who attended, as well as beginning a discipling relationship with each new believer. Research has shown that the sooner follow-up starts, the greater the likelihood that the person will take the next spiritual steps.

Without a plan for follow-up, it often falls through the crack and is neglected. Using personal contacts such as face-to-face visits, phone calls, texts, and social media increases the likelihood that a long-term relationship is developed and the person is assimilated into the church. We are available to encourage and train churches to develop a follow-up plan before their event and carry it out to completion.
